Support starts today and
continues through postpartum.
Today
Start by scheduling a complimentary meet and greet, today! During this call, we’ll demystify parent care and fill you in on how Cradle will make your life a whole lot easier. Ready to move forward? Great! We’ll find the perfect package for your growing family and start your joyful parenting journey.
2. Throughout pregnancy
While you’re busy thinking about your little one’s arrival, we’re thinking about you. During an in-home session, we’ll put a plan in place for your postpartum recovery and support. Food allergies to note? Special cleaning requests? Dogs or siblings to meet? We’ll cover it all. Consider it one (or ten) less things on your mind.
More questions? We’ve got you covered with postpartum planning guides and reference materials. You can also send us a text, call, or email at any time.
3. Birth day!
Give us a shout and we’ll take it from there. For those with the Total Prepare package, we’ll go to your home and make sure it’s ready for your return. Sheets washed, dishwasher ran, rooms cleaned, and fridge stocked. It’s basically like having a fairy godmother.
4. Fourth Trimester
In-home support starts as soon as you’re home (or as soon as you’re ready). As you nourish your baby, we’re focused on nourishing you. With each visit, we’ll bring you meals rich in the nutrients you need to heal your body and provide for your growing family.
We’ll also bring a set of helping hands and postpartum expertise. We will take on the housework, meal prep, laundry, and sibling care while also providing knowledgeable guidance on infant care, feeding, sleep, recovery, and mental health.
FAQs
When should I sign up?
Our meals are designed for the three months following baby’s arrival but it’s never too early to sign up! We support as many parents as possible but do limit the number of parents we serve at any given time to ensure ample availability for clients.
What areas do you serve?
We provide services to parents within a 20 mile radius of Madison, Wisconsin. If you are outside of this range and interested in support, please reach out. Whenever possible we will extend our travel area to support parents looking for care.
What is a postpartum doula?
A postpartum doula provides education, nonjudgmental support and companionship during the first months with a new baby. They assist with newborn care and family adjustment and offer evidence-based information on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, infant soothing and coping skills for new parents. They can also make appropriate referrals when necessary.
My [fill in blank] will be around. Isn’t that the same?
Many families receive offers of help from friends, family members, or anyone else eager to spend time with baby! While this support is amazing, it's not the same as what you'll receive from a postpartum doula. We understand what new parents are going through and because we are trained in evidence-based information, you can be assured that the guidance you receive is up-to-date and in line with safe parenting practices. Your postpartum doula can also help organize the support you do receive from family and social circles, and help you set healthy boundaries with your helpers for a more peaceful recovery.
How do gift cards work?
Gift cards are perfect for parents who don’t want stuff. They can be purchased and used for yourself or given to a loved one and can be applied towards any of Cradle’s parent care packages.
